Committee Opportunities

Advocacy Committee

Help advance awareness, inclusion, and access for Autistic individuals and their families.


Committee activities may include:

  • Participating in weekly agenda review calls 
  • Supporting drafting and delivery of public comments 
  • Supporting advocacy initiatives
  • Reviewing community needs and priorities
  • Develop resources and tools to advance equity and access


Agenda Review Meetings: Every Saturday, 8:30am-10:00am 

Monthly Committee Meetings: First Thursday of the month at 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Health Equity Committee

Support efforts to improve equitable access to healthcare, resources, and services for Autistic individuals and families.


Committee activities may include:

  • Identifying barriers to care and support
  • Supporting community education initiatives
  • Building partnerships with healthcare and community providers
  • Promoting inclusive and accessible practices 


Meetings for this committee are currently on hold and will resume shortly.

Marketing & Grants Committee

Help expand ASVC’s visibility and sustainability by supporting communication, fundraising, and grant initiatives.


Committee activities may include:

  • Supporting marketing campaigns
  • Identifying community outreach opportunities
  • Assisting with grant research and development
  • Sharing professional expertise in communications, fundraising, or community engagement


Monthly Meetings: Third Monday of the month from 4:00pm-5:00pm on ZOOM.

Aut2Run Planning Committee

Help be a part of planning one of Ventura County’s most impactful community events.


Committee activities may include:

  • Event planning and logistics
  • Sponsorship and partnership support
  • Marketing and outreach
  • Participant experience planning
  • Volunteer engagement
  • Provide event day leadership 


Meetings for Aut2Run 2027 will begin in late September and usually occur every other week. Stay tuned!
